A few bits and pieces that is good to know during your stay in Norway

CURRENCY AND  METHODS OF PAYMENT

Norway uses the Norwegian Krone (NOK.

Norway has an excellent digital payment infrastructure. Credit and debit cards (Visa and Mastercard) as well as mobile payments are accepted almost everywhere. Cash is rarely used, and some places do not accept it at all. 

TIP:

​Always carry a card - even small purchases are usually card - only

Weather in Norway in early May can vary significantly.

In the Oslo region, you may experience cool mornings and evenings close to 0*C, while daytime temperatures can range up to 15- 20*C. Occasional rain and wind are possible, and in rare cases there may still be traces of snow.

Norway uses Type C/Type F plugs (230V). Charging points are widely available at hotels and venues. Also USB charging stations are available many places. 

ELECTRICITY & CHARGING

ELECTRIC VEHICLES & FUEL

Norway has a well-developed infrastructure for electric vehicle charging, with stations widely available along main roads, around Oslo and at the event hotel. Petrol and diesel are also easily accessible, though many fuel stations are unmanned and card payment is standard.

TIP:

Make sure your payment card works at unatteded fuel and charging stations.
